THE METHOD BEHIND YOUR MATCHES

Good suggestions. Clear reasons.

How your confirmed foods become useful meal ideas.

Recipe suggestions use the foods you have explicitly selected, not everything the image model thinks it can see.

From a photo to a useful recipe

Analyze your image, review each food name and preparation form, and select foods you recognize. Recipe previews update while you select. Save those foods to your pantry to keep the matches. Unmatched or unconfirmed names remain notes and do not increase ingredient coverage.

What the numbers mean

Ingredient coverage is the number of distinct required ingredient names you have selected divided by the number listed in the recipe. Four selected names in a five-ingredient recipe means 80% ingredient-name coverage. It does not mean 80% recognition accuracy, a probability of success, or adequate quantities.

How recipes are ordered

Matches first favor your most recently confirmed photo ingredients. Then they favor recipes with all listed ingredients, foods you marked to use first, coverage of main ingredients, fewer missing ingredients and shorter estimated preparation time. Cooking oil alone does not qualify a recipe as a relevant match. Saved ingredient exclusions and the selected time and meal filters are always applied to suggestions.

Preparation forms matter

Dry chickpeas are not interchangeable with cooked, drained chickpeas at the same weight. This collection stores them separately. Generic pasta is not silently upgraded to whole-wheat pasta, and an unlabelled white substance is not automatically Greek yogurt. Exact-name suggestions are only promoted into pantry ingredients after your confirmation.

What is in the collection?

The original 28 recipes retain their ingredient quantities from Family Nutrition OS. Sixteen additional kitchen ideas were editorially authored for this release to cover common confirmed foods including avocado, blueberries, broccoli, artichoke and cooked legumes. They specify amounts and methods but have not been independently kitchen-tested. Timing is an estimate. No nutrient values, medical benefits, star ratings, or personal testing claims are invented.

From recommendation to shopping

Add a recommended meal to a day in your plan; it replaces only the chosen meal slot. The planned shopping quantities update. Alternatively, add the missing ingredients as an extra shopping request. Those extra quantities are explicitly additional to your planned meals. A checked ingredient means its name is present, not that enough is available: inspect your actual stock before shopping or cooking.

Keep food safety separate

The app cannot establish allergens, hidden ingredients, freshness or doneness from a photo. Follow FoodSafety.gov's cleaning, separation, cooking and chilling guidance and the safe minimum temperature chart. These are safety references, not validation of this app's recipes.
